Dedication

I started this book on my Cell phone when I was between calls at work. I then started working on it at night on my phone and then I converted my notes to word. I have taken five years to get to self-publishing. I know I will never end up on the New Times Best Seller list. I wrote the story because I thought it would make a good ghost story out of a true event. I am sorry the families that lost loved ones in the real accident that happen that Saint Patrick's night in 2012. I changed names their names to protect them. I did use the event to write this story. My story is pure fiction.

I also want to thank my wife Janice Cohenour and several friends Jason Woods and Tony Nichols for their support.

Once I got my book self-published more errors were discovered by friends and family. I am continuing work on this book trying to improve the story telling. I want to thank Bryan Doubek for stepping up and re-editing my book for me. Bryan I really apricate you help with this book. 

The TV show Klochak the Night stalker also inspired this book. I am not a big fan of horror movies. I am more old movies and 1970’s TV shows. The Television show Klochak the Night stalker had up to date modern take on old classic horror. It was only on for one season, but it has influenced a lot of people. I wanted to work in my warp sense of humor into the story to make the reader at least smile. For background I used where I have lived. From Souda Bay Crete, the old harbor town of Chania, Crete. to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I wanted the story to be based in the Mid-West and in Iowa because I am tired of most stories being set in New York City or Los Angeles. I wanted to incorporate the history and uniqueness of Cedar Rapids and its Czech heritage. I hope you like my introduction of Detective Mike Starr and the cast of characters he meets every day in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I hope to write more about his adventures in Iowa.
